Roasting in the Rain

>> Thursday, October 15, 2009

Last night, I had the opportunity to stand outside in the dark, in the rain, and roast coffee. Wow, I really wondered what I was doing. I managed to improvise a shelter with some umbrellas, and our patio table, plus I set up shop close enough to the house to have some wind break. The result is 3 pounds of freshly roasted coffee. Some to be delivered in Des Moines today, the remainder for my family to enjoy. Boy was my wife happy this morning. Our treat was Guatemala Huehuetenango, freshly roasted, and amazingly delicious. It is pronounced "way-way-ten-ang-oh". This coffee is from the Northern region of Guatemala. This region of Guatemala is known for it's lively coffee. The rich flavor finishes with a hint of chocolate, and is one of my favorites.

If you are interested in trying this exquisite coffee. Email me, and we can have some on its way to you in time for your Monday morning commute.
